- For SC ST and PWD candidates it has to be minimum 60% marks in degree.
- Those who have completed Engineering in the year 2020 or currently studying in the present year (2020-2021) are eligible to apply for the recruitment. 2019 or before the years pass out degree’s candidates not eligible.
- Only a UGC recognized degree will be considered for applying for a post.
- Open University or correspondence degree will be not eligible for application. Only a full-time degree will be acceptable.
- Acceptable degrees are: B.Tech/B.Sc Engg/B,E.
Age Relaxation
- 5 years of age relaxation is exempted for SC/ST candidates.
- 3 years of age relaxation is exempted for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- PWD-general/EWS categories have 10 years of age relaxation.
- PWD-SC/ST categories have 15 years of age relaxation.
- PWD-OBC(NCL) categories have 13 years of age relaxation.

Selection Process of Gail Recruitment 2021
Selection process will be based on the GATE 2021 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2021) Examination score. Candidates have to register themselves for or GATE examination 2021 2 following discipline.
- Instrumentation (Paper Code-IN):- i) Electrical & Electronics, ii) Electronics, iii) Electrical & Instrumentation, iv) Electronics & instrumentation, v) Instrumentation & control, vi) Instrumentation.
- Chemical (Paper Code-CH):- i) Petrochemical Technology, ii) Chemical Technology, iii) Petrochemical, iv) Chemical.
After the examination of gate 2021 on the bases of examination score, shortlisted candidates will be invited for group discussion or personal interview. Only above mentioned discipline degrees are eligible to apply.
