- National Defence Academy (NDA) – Total Posts=370, (Navy- 42, Air Force- 120 and army 208)
- Naval Academy (NA) – Total Posts = 30
Education and qualification for UPSC NDA NA recruitment:-
- Naval Academy (NA):- Applicant Candidate should pass minimum 12th class for pattern 10 + 2 from recognized State education board or university.
- National Defence Academy (NDA):- For this position, an applicant Candidate should be at least 12th class pass from recognized state education board or university.

Selection Process:-
The selection process should be based on a written exam, physical strength test and SSB interview or test.
Written Exam:-
The written exam will be conducted on two subjects Mathematics and General Ability Test. Each of one subject allotted two and a half hours duration for examination. And passing marks would be for mathematics subject 300 and for General Ability Test 600.
Note: –
- In the written examination process there will be negative marking will be counted.
- While writing the examination it’s mandatory to use a Black Ball Pen to use in examination other color’s pen is prohibited.
Physical standard:-
According to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) applicants, candidates must be physically fit for admission. If you want to know more please read the official notification.

Accommodation:-
Qualified interview candidates if coming first time for the SSB interview for any type of commission, will be eligible for traveling allowance. I.e. Permanent or short service, Candidates will be eligible for AC III Tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare with sleeper reservation in Indian limits.
Important Note:-
E-Admit Card
- Eligible applicants can issue their e-Admit card before three weeks of examination. Candidates can download their e-Admit Card from the official website of the Union Public Service Commission. Provide valid and correct email id while filling up the application may commission can use electronic mode for contacting you.
Prohibited
- While examination use of mobile phone (even switch off the phone), storage media device (Such as Pen Drive), smartwatch, programmable device, paper, any electronic device, camera or BlueTooth device, which is capable to communicate these all items are prohibited.
Eligibility
- The most important eligibility criteria are that the candidate must be unmarried.
Fees
- Candidates can pay examination fees of 100 rupees (For General/OBC) has to deposit in any breach of SBI or can pay through net banking of State Bank of India or by using Debit Card/MasterCard/Visa/Rupay Credit.
- If applicant candidate son of serving/Ex-junior commissioned officer/Indian Air/Navy force/ Non commissioned officer not has to pay application fees. Even though they studying in Sainik School/Military School (Previously known as King George’s School) run by Sainik Schools Society
- Once an applicant has paid the application fee for examination, fees will be not refundable in any circumstances.
Not Eligibility
- Those candidates are not to apply who have resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds From any of the Armed forces of training academics.
Examination and Interview
- After the examination, passed candidates have to submit their documents such as the original certificate of age and education qualification documents to Directorate General of Recruiting, Army headquarter, Best block 3, RK Puram, New Delhi 110066 or Naval Headquarter, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi 110011.
- All candidates who will schedule for SSB interview must have to carry a matriculation certificate or equivalent examination certification to the SSB. After the SSB interview, original certification is required for those candidates who will qualify for the service selection board interview.
- The examination will be conducted at the following centers
