Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Agricultural Officer | Candidate’s Higher education (plus two) should be completed and have a diploma (2 Years) of Agriculture from recognized institute by the Gov. of Tamil Nadu or afflicted with Tamil Nadu University. |
Assistant Horticultural Officer | Candidates must have higher secondary education completed and 2 years of full time diploma needed in Horticulture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University or Director of Horticulture. |

Application Fees
The application fee structure given below is divided into two parts. If the candidate is applying for the first time, then they will have to pay 150/- rupees for one time registration. Apart from this, if the candidate is already registered in the one-time registration system, then they will not have to pay the one-time registration fee, rather he has to pay 100/- Rupee Examination fee.
- For ST/SC/PWD/Destitute Widow:- No Fees
- For UR/OBC/Ex-Serviceman:- 250/- INR (One Time Registration Fees+Examination Fees)
Examination Structure
Assistant Agriculture Officer:- There will be two papers for the post of Assistant Agriculture, in which the first paper will be for 300 marks and the second paper will be for 200 marks and both the papers will be of 2 and 1 hours duration respectively. Marks of the examination will be subject-wise as per details given below.
- Diploma Standard Agriculture (200 Questions)- 300 Marks.
- HSC+SSLC Standard (100 Questions)- 200 Marks.
Assistant Horticulture officer:- Just as the examination structure is given for the post of Assistant Agricultural Officer, the same structure applies to the post of Assistant Horticulture Officer.
Minimum Qualification Marks:- 150 Marks for SCs, STs, SC(A), BCs, BCMs, MBCs candidates and 200 marks for Other candidates will be the minimum qualifying criterion.

Step by Step Online Apply
- Candidates can apply to apply from the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission website.
- One-time registration is required through the Aadhaar card. The candidate has to do one-time registration by paying 150 rupees fee which will be valid for 5 years. If the candidate’s account is already maintained on the online registration portal and that account is valid, then they do not need to pay the One-time registration fees.
- For one-time registration, the candidate has to upload scan documents like passport size photo, signature, education certificate, etc.
- After uploading the scan documents, the candidate has to generate an account by generating an ID and password.
- Candidates will have to apply for the post by logging on to the online application portal.
- While applying, the candidate has to fill the information in the fields correctly.
- Check the filled information once before submitting the application.
- The candidate will have to pay the examination fee by submitting the application..
- After the entire process is done, take a printout of the application and fees and keep it with you.
